I'm LOOPING to 4th Grade!!!
May 7, 2015
Dear
Parents and Guardians,
I am happy to inform you that I will
be transitioning to teach 4th grade for the 2015 – 2016 school year!
I will be self contained which means I will continue teaching reading and will
now teach Math/Science/Social Studies. I am really looking forward to this
opportunity.
This letter is to inform you that because of my new
placement, a majority of my current reading students will be able to follow me
to 4th grade which gives me the pleasure of being their teacher
again. This opportunity will allow me to enhance your child’s growth in all
subject areas while better preparing them for the 4th grade Florida
Standards Assessment. This placement will allow your child to have a smooth
transition to 4th grade. Having already spent a school year
together, we will be able to jump right into the curriculum, therefore,
maximizing our academic time in preparation for the FSA.
If you have any questions regarding
this, or you would like to choose to opt in/out of this opportunity, please do
not hesitate to contact me. I am happy to address any questions and/or concerns
you may have. I am looking forward to continuing to work with you and your
child.
Sincerely,
Ms. François

The weeks ahead... FSA
This week will be a review week. The next few weeks we will be concentrating on strengthening skills and strategies to prepare students for the FSA. In doing so, instruction may be slightly altered to accommodate these changes. Please continue to have your students read outside of school (chapter books, science based text, non-fiction). Also, they should focus on main idea, key details, cause and effect, problem and solution, point of view and grammar. Feel welcome to contact me with any questions or concerns.
