What's Expected . . .

My goal for this year is to help your child to be an independent and responsible learner, as well as, to show him or her how to make responsible choices. To accomplish this goal, there will be regular homework and we will be making the most of our class time. My expectations for the students this year will be high. They will need to work hard and do their best. We are grooming them to be responsible and successful students. Please be sure to check the welcome contract for my classroom for guidelines and procedures.

What do students need to bring to school?

All students should have a backpack. This makes transporting school supplies and homework easier. The students may also bring a water bottle. The bottle must have a lid that seals tight. Agenda books will be provided after the first week of school (there is a small fee to replace a lost agenda book). A 1-inch binder with 3 rings and side pockets. This is a great place to keep homework to keep it from getting lost. Reading logs, vocabulary, and spelling lists should also be kept here. Our student! It is important that students are present for each lesson so that they make the necessary learning gains and are well prepared for assessments. Please ensure that your child has a note in an event of an absence. It is their responsibility to make up any missing assignments.

LATE HOMEWORK/ASSIGNMENTS/PROJECTS... WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND WILL RESULT IN A ZERO (UNLESS DUE TO A DOCUMENTED ABSENCE) !!!
